A Low-Cost IoT Based Buildings Management System (BMS) Using Arduino Mega 2560 And Raspberry Pi 4 For Smart Monitoring and Automation

This work presents an internet of things (IoT) based building management system (BMS) for monitoring, control, and energy in buildings to provide efficient way utilization. Existing systems mainly monitoring different parameters with limited controlling/automation functions. solutions also do not automatic decision-making, advanced safety management, resource tracking. However, the proposed provides a comprehensive controlling, decision making regarding environmental electrical buildings, i.e., temperature, humidity, dust, volt, etc., by using low-cost wireless sensor network (WSN). The architecture consists five layers uses analog sensors which are connected Arduino Mega 2560 microcontrollers data collecting, NodeMCUs ESP8266 communication, Raspberry Pi4 microcomputers making, nod-RED dashboard runs locally on Pi 4to friendly end-user interface. Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) communication protocol through Wi-Fi completely relies local devices does need cloud computing services. two kinds automation, automation features, automation. is able humidity control inside room track count available resources any facility. low cost, scalable, can be used building. Simulation results show that highly efficient.
